The City Council of the City of Beaumont does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 13 of Article 14 of Ordinance No. 202 is hereby
amended so that the same shall read as follows:

=ES. A fence or wall not more than six (6) feet in reiNht or a hedge
maintained. so as not to exceed six (6) feet in hei;ht may be located alons
the side lot lines and the rear lot lines where they constitute the boundaries
of
the required rear yards, provided such fence, wall or hedge does not
extend into the side yard required along the side street on a corner lot,
which for the rurposes of this section shall also include that portion Of
the rear yard abutting the intersecting street wherein accessory buildings
are prohibited; provided that a fence not more than 36" in height or a hedge
maintained so as not to exceed 36" in height may be located in any required
side or front yard. The provisions of this sectior shall not be so interpreted
as to prohibit the erection of a fence enclosing an elementary school, Junior
high school or hish school.
SSC'TION 2. All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the -passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the sane to be published once in the
Beaumont Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, nu'olisried and
circulated in the City of Beaumont, and thirty (30) days after its adoption,
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect.

No. 371 of the City of Beaumont, was introduced and read at a
Regular Meeting, of the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
duly held on the 14th. day of December,1965, and that the same
was duly passed and adopted at an Adjourned Regular meeting
of said City Council duly held on the 29th. day of DecemL;er,1965,
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Muse, Haskell, Berg, Brazie and Houston.
NOES: Councilmen None.
ABSENT: Councilmen None.
