HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 376ORDINANCE NO. 37b AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUIMMONI', CALIFORNIA, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE "STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC rORKS CONSTRUCTION", 1967 EDITION, PUBLISHED BY THE SOUTHERN CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC WORKS ASSOCIATION AND THE ASSOCIATED GENERAL CONTRACTORS OF AMERICA, AS THE STANDARD SPECIFI- CATIONS FOR ALL PUBLIC WORKS WITHIN THE CITY OF 'REAUI' ONT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The City Council of the city of beaumont, california does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 2, (A) ADOPTION OF STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS) The Standard Soecifications for Public Works Construct- ion, 1967 Edition, Edited by the Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association and the Associated General Contractors of America, is adopted as the standard specifications for all public works within the City of Beaumont. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Standard Specifications For Public Works Construction, 1967 Edition, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as though fully set forth herein. (B) COPIES TO BE ON FILE: Three copies of the Standard Specifications for Public Works adopted by the preceeding section shall be kept permanently on file in the office of the City Clerk. (C) PENALTIES: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of the Specifications adopted in Section (A) hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con- viction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than p500.00 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the RECORD- GAZETTE, a newspaper of general circulation iii the City of Beaumont, and this ordinance shall be in full.force and effect thirty days after its adoption. NOES: None. ABSENT :Councilman Karnes.
