REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 367 OF THE CITY OF
BEAU 1ONT , TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE

OF THE "PACIFIC COAST BUILDING OFFICIALS CONFERENCE

The City Council of the City of Beaumont, California, does
hereby ordain as follows:
CTION L Ordinance No. 3 37 of the City of Beaumont, and all
other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. (A) ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE. The Pacific Coast
Building Officials Conference Uniform Building Code, 1967 Edition
is adopted as the Building Code of the City of Beaumont, providing
for the rerulatin ;, erection, construction, enlargement, alteration,
repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment,
use, height, area and maintenance of buildings and/or structures in
the City of Beaumont and providing for issuance of permits and
collection of fees therefor and inspections of the same.
Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions,
andterms of such Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference Uniform
Building Code, 1967 Edition, are hereby referred to, adopted and
made a part heroof, as though fully set forth herein.
(B) COPIES TO BE ON FILE. Three copies of the
Building Code adopted by the preceding section shall be Dept permanent-
ly on file in the office of the City Clerk.
(C) PENALTIES. Any
violating any of the provisions of
2 (A) hereof, shall be guilty of a
person, firm or cor
)oration
the Code so adopted in Section
misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than 4500.00 or
by imprisonment in the , Jail for a period of not more than
six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the
Record -Gazette, a newspaper of ;r;eneral circulation, in the City of
Be,,umont, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
days after its adoption.
