AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, COUNTY OF
RIVERSIDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 333 PROVIDING FOR LICENSING AND REGULATING
CERTAIN KINDS OF BUSINESS, TRADES, PROFESSIONS,
EXHIBITIONS AND OCCUPATIONS TRANSACTED OR CARRIED
ON IN THE SAID CITY OF BEAUMONT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 333 is hereby amended by adding thereto
two additional sections to be designated as Section 2-d and Section 2-e, and to
read as follows:
Section 2-d: DELINQUENCY: PENALTY: All renewal licenses shall be
delinquent if not paid on or before the last day of month next succeeding the
expiration of the license. A ten percent (10%) penalty shall be added to delinquent
licenses unless otherwise provided. If still unpaid, additional penalties of ten
percent (10%) shall be added on the last day of each succeeding month, provided
that the amount of such penalties shall not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the
license tax due.
Section 2-e: FEES TO BE PRORATED: Those persons, firms or corporations
engaged in any business, trade, profession, exhibition, or occupation beginning
after October 1, but before December 31 of any calendar year, shall be liable for
the payment of three-fourths (3/4) of their appropriate business license fee.
Those persons, firms or corporations engaged in any business, trade, profession,
exhibition, or occupation beginning after January 1 but before March 31 of any
calendar year, shall be liable for the payment of one-half (1/2) of their appro-
priate business license fees. Those persons, firms, or corporations engaged in
any business, trade, profession, exhibition, or occupation beginning after April 1st
but before June 30 of any calendar year shall be liable for the payment of one-
fourth (1/4) of their appropriate business license fee. This section is not
applicable to those business licenses which are not issued for the fiscal year.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Record -Gazette, a
newspaper of general circulation, in the City of Beaumont and this Ordinance shall
be in full force and effect thirty days after its adoption.

that the foregoing Ordinance No. 388 was introduced and read at a Regular Meeting
of the City Council of the City of Beaumont, duly held on the 12th day of
March , 1968, and that the same was duly passed and adopted at a Regular
Meeting of said Council held on the 26th day of March 1968, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilman Haskell, Karnes, K3.ef, Muse and Houston.
NOES: Councilman None.
ABS: Councilman None.
