AN ?RDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
CALIFORNIA AMENDING ARTICLE 24 OF
ORDINANCE 11 282 BY ADDING A NEW
SECTION TO PROVIDE FOR A TIME LIMIT
AND REVERSION PROCEDURE ON RECLASS-
IFICATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Article 24 of Ordinance No. 282 is hereby amended by adding thereto
a new section to be designated as Section 2, and to read as follows:
Section 2. TIME LIMIT - REVERSION. The City Planning Commission in re-
classifying any property thereon, shall provide in any ordinance or order reclassify-
ing said property so reclassified or changed, that it shall be used for which it was
reclassified or changed within a period of one year of its reclassification, and that
the failure to use the same for said p roposalssshall cause said property to revert to
the zone or classification from which it was changed.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Record -Gazette, a
newspaper of general circulation, in the City of Beaumont, and this Ordinance shall
be in full force and effect thirty days after its adoption.

the foregoing Ordinance No. 389 was introduced and read at a Regular Meeting of the
City Council of the City of Beaumont, duly held on the 26th, day of March__, 1968,
and that the same was duly passed and adopted at a Regular Meeting of said Council,
held on the 9th day of April , 1968, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman Haskell, Karnes, Muse and Houston.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Kief.
