HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 423ORDINANCE NO. 423 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AMENDING ORDINANCES NOS. 282, 300 and 399 FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVISING CERTAIN FEES FOR SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONTOR ITS APPOINTED AGENTS AND REPEALING ANY OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 4 of Article 18 of Ordinance No. 282 of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended so as to read as follows: Section 4, Article 18. Filing fees for reclassification or amend- ment (zone change). A fee of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars shall be paid upon the filing of each application for a reclassification or amendment as provided for in this Ordinance. This fee shall be for the purpose of defraying the expense of postage, advertising and other costs incidental to the proceedings prescribed herein. In addition, proponents to pay the cost of any special investigation that may be required. SECTION 2. Section 5 of Article 13 of Ordinance No, 282 of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended so as to read as follows: Section 5, Article 18. FILING FEES FOR VARIANCE, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND UNCLASSIFIED USE PERMIT. (a) Filing fee for. a Variance shall be Thirty Five ($35.00) Dollars. (b) Filing fee for a Conditional Use Permit shall be One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. In addition, proponents to pay the cost of any spacial investigation that may be required. (c) Filing fee for an Unclassified Use Permit shall be One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. In addition, proponents. to pay the cost of any special investigation that may be required. SECTION 3. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 300 of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. Before a lot may be divided or split, the permission of the Planning Commission shall first be had and obtained. Application, therefore, shall be accompanied by a map prepared by a licensed surveyor showing the proposed lot division or splitting and the location of the corner stakes. The applicant shall pay to the City of Beaumont the sum of Ten ($10.00) Dollars for the first lot shown on the map and Five ($5.00) Dollars for each additional lot. In addition, proponents to pay cost of any special investigations that may be required. SECTION 4. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 399 of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2. Permit Required. No person shall relocate or move any building without first obtaining a moving permit from the Building Inspector. The fee, therefore, shall be $10.00. Where the relocation is to take place within the corporate limits of the City of Beaumont, the permittee shall pay, in addition to the foregoing permit fee, those expenses attendent to obtaining the approval of the Planning Commission in the sum of $50.00. SECTION 5. Section 13 of Article 18 of Ordinance No. 282 is hereby added so as to read as follows: Section 13, Article 18. Charges. The charges set forth in Sections 4 and 5 of Article 18, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 300 and Section 2 of Ordinance No. 399 may, from time to time, be modified by increases or decreases by resolution of the City Council. SECTION 6. All. Ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Daily Record -Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation and circulated in the City of Beaumont, and it shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its adoption.
