CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES HERTFT (TRPAIN AS FOLLOWS; to -wit: SECTION 1. That the amount of money necessary to be raise.d by taxation upon the taxable property in the City of Beaumont exclusivo of all sums to be raised to pay the bonded and interest indiebedness of the City of Beaumont, for the General Fund as a revenue tocarry on the various departments of government of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed as 8101,936.14: And ch amount to be raised to pay the Bonded and interest Indebtedness of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed at $ 11,212.98 ; Arid the amount to be raised for the Lighting Maintenanco Fund of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed at $ 30 169.76 ; And the amount to b raised for the Public Parks and Recreation Fund of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed at $1834851 ; And the amount to be raised for the Civil Defense Fund for the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby at $ 5.096.81 ; And the amount to be raised for the Storm Drain and F1ooc Control Fund for the Cit- of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed at $ 17,329.14 ; And the amount to •be raised for :he Planning Fund for the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed at $ 1,36787; And the amount to be raised for the Public Er:ployees Ret5rement Fund for the City of Beaumont for the -1!scal year 1971-72 is hereby fixed ac $ 39 755.09 1_ SECTION 2 This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency Ordinance, and to be necessary for the :;:mmidiate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and the facts constituting its urgency are hereby stated and declared to be as follows: It is required by law that an ordinance be adopted fixing the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property in the City of Beaumont as a revenue to carry on the various Aenartments_cf the governmentofthe City ofBeaumontand topay its bonded and othQ..x indebtedness and el -Jens .;:or the fiscal year 19-77 and that no later that the last Tuesday in August therate of tax be fixed; and there win—hot be sufficient time elapse between the time of the adoption of this Ordinance and the last Tuesday in August of this year to have it it effect by said last Tuesday in August of this year to enable its passage otherwise than as an urgency ordinance and be in effect in order to comply with the law with reference to the fixing of the rate of taxes of said City of Beaumont for the fiscal year 1971-72; and if said rate is not fixed the City of Beaumont will be without funds with which to operate its various departments of government, and to pay its bonded and other indebtedness and, expenses, upon which depends the public health, peace and safety. • SECTION 1. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this 0a:dinance, and shall cause the same to be published once in the Daily Record-Gaztte, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Beaumont, and it shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption.
