RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE TEXAS STATE HIGHWAY
DEPARTMENT TO CONSTRUCT HIGHWAY #121-A ALONG
TEE ROUTE THAT HAS BUN PROPOSED FOR SUC4 HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the Tars State Highway Department has approved the con-
struction of a highway to be known as Highway #121-A, a portion of which
will be within the corporate iima.ts of the Town of Richland Hills, Texas; and
WUERE S, a rgo?.osed location has been sureyed and whereas, the
Town of Richland Hills, Texas has constructed end has already drawn plans
to construct its streets arty' xninae systems, assuming that the said High-
way #121-A would be located along the proposed route; and
HEREAi, the Town of Richland hills, Texas has ronsieered the ioca-
tion of the said highway and zoning matters; and whereas, there is a great
need for the ismzed;.ate ::onst::uction of the said highway; and
`. CEREtb, to change the proposed location of the said highway at
this date wouL:J delay the constrloiion of a hiihwn-*;
NOW, ThEREeiiRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD CP ALDERMEN OF THE
TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, that:
Section 1. That the Texas State Highway Department is requested to construct
Stete highway #lF .-A along the proposed location within the Town of Richland
Hills, Texas.
Section 2. That the Texas State Highway Department is requested to construct
the said State rU.ghway #121-A as soon as poacible.
Section 3. That the Beard of Aldermen express its sincere appreciation to
the Texas State Highway Commissioners and all the employees of the Texas
State Highway Department for their consideration of this question and for
the many other courtesies 1rd cooperation with the Town of Richland Hills,
Texas.
Section 4. That the Mayor is directed to file a Certified Copy of this
Resolution with the Honorable R. A. Bossy, Fort Worth District Engineer
for the Texas State Highway Department.
UNANIMOUSLY PASSED AND APPROVED the 20th day of March, A.D.,1959.
