A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA; AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC
CALMING IMPROVEMENTS FOR EAST HEATHER DRIVE
AND ISLAND DRIVE (PHASE ONE) IN THE AMOUNT OF
$105,000 TO M.E.F. CONSTRUCTION; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Council supports traffic calming as one form of increased public safety;
and
WHEREAS, five (5) companies submitted sealed construction bids on March 23, 1999; and
WHEREAS, M.E.F. Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest bid for said work; and
WHEREAS, M.E.F. Construction, Inc. has proven to be a reliable contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Village Manager is authorized to contract M.E.F. Construction, Inc. for
the construction of traffic calming improvements for East Heather Drive and Island Drive (Phase
One) in the amount of $105,000.
Section 2. Funds are available from the Capital Improvement Program - Traffic Calming.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
