GREENCASTLE BOARD OF WORKS
SPECIAL SESSION
FRIDAY, AUGUST J, 1496 12:00 NOON STREET DEPARTMENT
The Greencastle Board of Works met in Special Scssion August 9, 1996 12:00 Noon at the Citv
Street Department to award bids For the 1996 Concrete Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Construction.
Mayor Michael called the meeting to order. On the Roll Call, the following were found to be
present: Sue Murra }� and George Murphev. City Attorney John Zeiner and City Engineer Chris
Bames were also present.
Engineer Barnes presented bid tabulations to the Board. Engineer Barnes told the Board that he
called Kingdom Development to discuss discrepancies in the amount calculated For replacement.
Kingdom Development stated that they had made an error in their calculations and asked to
withdraw their bid_ Engineer Barnes stated that Kingdom Development has been excused From
® the bid and the bid check has been returned. Engineer Barnes recommended the contact award
be given Pursel Construction as the lowest and best bid. Sue Murray made a motion to accept
the bid from Pursel Construction, seconded by George rNfurphey. Vote was unanimous.
Being no further business Sue Murray made a motion to adjourn. seconded by George Murphev.
Vote was unanimous.
