AWARDING CONTRACT FOR STORM WATER INLETS -
FEDERAL BOULEVARD - B&W CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has advised the Governing Body that three
(3) storm water inlets on Federal Boulevard are in need of emergent repair; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer's office has solicited quotes for said work;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer's office has received two (2) quotes to
perform said work as follows:
1. B&W Construction Co. of NJ, Inc. $7520.00
2. Little Rascals Concrete Company, Inc. $7609.00
copies of which are on file in the Borough Engineer's office; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above quotes and
recommends that the Governing Body award a contract to B&W Construction Co.
of NJ, Inc. for the same; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or
will be available for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New J~'sey, that a contract be
awarded to B&W Construction Co. of NJ, Inc. for the replacement of three (3)
storm water inlets on Federal Boulevard for a total amount not to exceed
$7520.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be
forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department, the Borough Engineer and
B&W Construction Co. of NJ, Inc.
Adopted this 14th day of November, 2002
