A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH PAGEANRTY PARADES ADJUSTING THE TOTAL
CONTRACT AMOUNT FROM $70,000 TO $71,600 AND AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT OF SERVICES PROVIDED FOR THE DECEMBER 15, 2021
SANTA'S NEIGHBORHOOD VISITS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, through Resolution 2021.114, the City approved an agreement for
parade production services with Pageantry Parades to produce the Centennial Edition of
the 2021 Lynwood Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade and the support of holiday activities;
and
WHEREAS, in order to closely maintain the level of holiday programming
traditionally offered to residents by the City, staff organized the Santa's Neighborhood
Visits Program on December 15, 2021 that required additional, sole-provider services
from Pageantry Parades.
WHEREAS, under contract agreement for 2021 parade production services,
payments to Pageantry Parades have surpassed single-vendor limits under the City's
purchasing ordinance and the additional services now require City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary to increase the original not-to-exceed
amount for the agreement approved by Resolution 2021.114 and extend its original term
so that staff can process additional holiday invoices.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council for the City of Lynwood finds and declares that the
foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates said recitals fully
into this Resolution as substantive findings.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the
Professional Services Agreement with Pageantry Parades approved by
Resolution 2021.114, increasing the"not-to-exceed" amount to$71,600 and
extending the term through December 17, 2021.
Section 3. That the City Manager is authorized to issue payments for related holiday
events not to exceed the $71,600 agreement amount for said services
(Special Events Account #1052.60.701.64020 and Centennial Activities
Account #1011.60.701.64022).
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
