On this the 30th day of July, 1954, the Town Council of the Town of Richland Hills, Texas, convened in /q Meeting, at the Regular Meeting place, with the following members thereof, to-wit: Homer Norton, Mayor, C. A. J. Smith, . Joe Martin, . Cecil Smith, Aldermen, W. F. Owens, . Clayton Woodall, .• "_ Theo J. Hardison, Town Secretary, being present, with the following absent: ` U7 , constituting a quorum, at which time the following proceedings were had: Alderman introduced a resolution and moved v that it be adopted. The motion was seconded by Alderman (���':d�L��� ��"" The motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution prevailed by the following vote: AYES: Aldermen C. A. J. Smith, Martin, Cecil Smith, Owens, and Woodall . NOES: None. The resolution as adopted is as follows: A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO DELIVER BONDS TO THE PURCHASERS THEREOF, RECEIVE THE PURCHASE PRICE FOR THE BONDS, RECEIVE TITLE TO THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM, PAY T11 PURCHASE PRICE THEREOF, AND RESOLVING OTHER MATTERS WITH REFERENCE TO THE CLOSING OF SAID TRANSACTIONS. WHEREAS, this Town has authorized the issuance, sale and de- livery of Town of Richland Hills Waterworks System Revenue Bonds, Series 1954, in the amount of $1,100,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing, improving and extending a waterworks system; and e -i.m r--1V'4 "6-411 WHEREAS, the Town has determined to purchase the existing Waterworks System from C. F. Alexander Charles E. McArthur and Hilding F. Henrickson, and payment therefor has been directed to be made to Harris Trust & Savings Bank, Chicago, Illinois; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF RICHLAND HIT,L.L: 1. The Mayor, Homer Norton, shall deliver the above described bonds to Rauscher, Pierce & Company, Dallas, Texas, and Associates, and shall receive therefor, on behalf of this Town, the price of par and accrued interest to the date of delivery. 2. The amount received as accrued interest shall be deposited in the Interest and Sinking Fund in the Depository Bank of this Town and the remainder thereof shall be deposited in the Continental National. Bank, Fort Worth, Texas, in the Waterworks Purchase and Improvement Account. 3. The Mayor shall receive instruments conveying title to the Waterworks System from C. F. Alexander, Charles E. McArthur and Hilding F. Henrickson to the Town, and, out of said Account, the Mayor shall pay Eight Hundred Nine Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($809,150.00) to Harris Trust & Savings Bank, Chicago, Illinois, as the purchase price for said Waterworks System. 4. The Mayor is further authorized and directed to do all other things necessary or proper to accomplish the delivery of the bonds and the purchase of the existing Waterworks System.
