AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A
GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE STATE FIRE MARSHALL
WHEREAS, the Office of the State Fire Marshall has announced a grant program to assist
Fire Departments in purchasing a carbon monoxide detection meter; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Fire Department desires to submit a grant application in order to
purchase a carbon monoxide detector.
NOW, THEREFRE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana as follows:
1. The Richmond Fire Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to
the office of the State Fire Marshall for the purchase of a carbon monoxide detector.
2. The Richmond Fire Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in the
amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Fire Department, shall be appropriated for
the purchase of a carbon monoxide detector.
Passed and adopted this I day 1997, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana. i
