COUNCIL SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, MARCH 24, 2014
CALL TO ORDER
The March 24, 2014, Special Council Meeting was convened at 5:34 P.M. by Mayor Eric
Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Bray, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather, Schulte,
Scrivner, and Tergin
Absent: None
A quorum was declared present.
FINALIZING SPEAKER LIST
COMMENTS FROM PUBLIC ON CONFERENCE ISSUE – Associate City Counselor
Jeremy Cover explained the format of the Public Hearing and stated that the purpose
was to listen to input from the public on this issue.
The Mayor inquired if any other individuals in attendance wished to be added to the list
of speakers for the issue. No additional speakers came forward.
PRESENTATION ON CONFERENCE CENTER PROPOSALS BY RANDY ALLEN
Randy Allen, President of the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce and CEO,
described the two conference center proposals received by the City. He concluded by
thanking the Council for the opportunity to work with them on the project.

COUNCIL DISCUSSION ON CONFERENCE CENTER PROPOSALS
Following the speaker comments, Acting Finance Director Betts and Randy Allen
responded to Councilmen inquiries. Speaker Bednar expanded on his comments.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Ralph Bray, seconded by Councilman
Carlos Graham, and approved unanimously at 7:04 P.M.
