Notes of meeting:
All members of the Charter review committee were present: Chairman Michael Logan,
Vice-Chairman Don Acker, Secretary Jean Spieker, Lester Strother, David Ragan. Also
present was City Secretary Terri Willis, staff representative.
Meeting was called to order at 7:35 by Chairman Michael Logan.
Don Acker made the motion to accept the previous minutes as written. David Ragan
seconded the motion. Passed unanimously.
Chairman Logan called for the final review of our suggestions for changes to the City
Charter. No changes were made in our suggestions . It was agreed Chairman Logan
would present the Charter Proposals at the next City Council Meeting. Chairman Logan
expressed his appreciation to all members of the Committee for their hard work and
dedication. We unanimously agreed Pat Jermyn should be recognized for serving on this
Committee for several months. The members of this Committee expressed their thanks to
Michael Logan for serving as a strong Chairman and request their appreciation be noted
for the record. The entire Committee expressed its thanks to City Secretary Terri Willis
for her help and support.
No further meeting will be called unless the Council deems it necessary.
No members of the public were present.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
