Animal Shelter Committee Meeting
Small Conference Room
City Hall, 320 E McCarty St.
Jefferson City MO
Present:
Eric Struemph, Fourth Ward City Councilman Liaison
Dr. Gregory Popp, Committee Member
Dr. Jim Crago, Committee Member
Dr. Greg Boyer, Committee Member
Others Present:
Carrie Carroll, Fourth Ward Councilperson
Nathan Nickolaus, City Councelor
Charles Lansford, Asst. Director of Dept of Comm. Development
Karen Jennings, Animal Control Division Director
Susan Thompson, Citizen
The first meeting of the Animal Control Committee Meeting was called to order by City
Councilman Eric Struemph at 12:30 PM.
Election of Officers;
Dr. Popp, Chairman
Dr. Crago, Vice-Chairman
Nathan Nickolaus presented and overview of City Committees, rules of meetings,
policies and procedures, Sunshine Law, followed by a long discussion from members of
the Committee.
Several comments were made by Mrs. Thompson concerning meeting procedures.
Councilperson Carroll thanked the Veterinarians for serving on the Committee.
A motion was made and passed to establish an agenda format with a requirement for
written requests from the public to be submitted ten days prior to be considered as an
item on the agenda.
The next meeting was set and later changed to January 27, 2010, at 12:30 PM. The
meeting will be held at City Hall, 320 E. McCarty St in the large conference room.
