Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Meeting

Members Present:
Dr. Gregory Popp, Chairman
Dr. Jim Crago, Vice Chair
Dr. Greg Boyer, Committee Member
Karen Jennings, Staff
Dr. Corey McCann, Relief Veterinarian
The Animal Shelter Committee met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at
12:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Jefferson City Animals Shelter at 2308 Hyde Park Road,
Jefferson City Missouri. The meeting was called to order by Dr. Popp, Chairman. Roll call was taken.
Approval of Minutes from the May 15, 2012 Meeting
The minutes of the May 15, 2012 meeting were reviewed and Dr. Boyer moved they be approved. Dr.
Crago seconded and the minutes were approved.
Staff Reports
Karen Jennings, Animal Control Supervisor, reported on the July stats from the shelter. The status on
the building completion was discussed. The Barking Dog ordinance and the Exotic Animal ordinances
were presented to the board.
Review Written Correspondence
No correspondence was received.
Old Business
There was no old business.
New Business
1. An election of officers was held. Dr. Popp remains Chairman, Dr. Crago remains Vice-Chair, and
Dr. Boyer remains as a committee member.
Approval of Next Meeting Date
Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 12:30 was set as the next Committee meeting.
Adjournment
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
