McCarty Street ~ Boone – Bancroft Room Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chair Cindy Layton at 11:30 a.m. Roll Call Present: Cindy Layton, Steve Picker, Don Govang, Bruce Dawson, Bill Rodgers, Gail Strope, Keith Enloe, Dawnel Davidson, Councilman Eric Struemph, Lucia Kincheloe Absent: Ann Littlefield, Mary Ann Hall and Randy Allen Guests: Rosa Ruiz; News Tribune Tentative Agenda approved September Minutes approved Old Business: Grant Criteria and procedures Lucia Kincheloe provided the commission with a proposed grant program. Each member was asked to review the proposal and be prepared to discuss at the November meeting. Lucia suggested the grant guidelines, once established, be added as links in the development of the website. Public Art Review Ordinance and Maintenance Cindy Layton suggested the committee compile and maintain a public art inventory and any expenses for maintenance of said property. Mary Ann Hall and Randy Allen were appointed to the sub committee. Report moved to November meeting. Endorsement Policy Sub committee asked for time to speak with Michael Donavan MAC. Report is moved to the November meeting. Fund Development Ideas for fund raising were discussed that included hosting a ball and possible locations for the event. Report is moved to the November meeting. Review Logos A logo was chosen by the committee, however, the committee would like the designer to present different options for this logo. Keith Enloe will contact the designer and present other options for this logo at the November meeting. New Business: Budget - The Commission has unspent money from the appropriated 2009 budget. Cindy Layton asks if the money can be reallocated. Eric Struemph will speak to the City Council on behalf of the commission to have funds reallocated. Gail Strope provided purchasing guidelines. The next meeting will held on November 24, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Announcements: No announcements were made. Meeting Adjourned.
