Call to Order
Meeting called to order by Chairman Cindy Layton at 11:35 a.m.
Present: Randy Allen, Dawnel Davidson, Cindy Layton, Ann Littlefield, Steve Picker, Gail Strope, Lucia
Erickson-Kincheloe, Keith Enloe, Mary Ann Hall, and Bill Rodgers
Absent: Bruce Dawson, Eric Struemph and Don Govang

Old Business:
Grant Criteria and Procedures – The City Council Administration Committee will meet May 5th
and review proposed criteria. Tabled to May 25, 2010 commission meeting.
Imagine Nation – Lucia Erickson-Kincheloe was granted permission to explore grant funding for
this project. The project would require donations that can be matched by grant funding if
available. Lucia Erickson-Kincheloe will report any findings at the next meeting.
Public Art Review Ordinance – Ann Littlefield and Randy Allen presented a revised version of
the Public Art Policies and Procedures. Commission members are asked to review the policy
individually and provide comments or changes at the next meeting. Randy Allen will provide
Dawnel Davidson a revised copy to be sent to the commission members.
Fund Development – The Sub-Committee is awaiting approval of the grant criteria and
procedures being reviewed by the City Council Administration Committee. Once approved, a
training session will be provided to area art groups on how to update the website’s calendar with
their events and how to prepare grant applications available through JCCAC or MAC. Cindy
Layton proposed that the committee continue to develop courses to entice area art groups back
for further training. The Sub-Committee was asked to meet and prepare an agenda for the
upcoming course with proposed dates to be submitted to the commission for approval at the next
meeting.
Website Development – WWW.ARTSINJC.COM - Development of the website has begun.
Steve Picker asked the Commission to review the website and make any suggestions to change
or enhance it by the next meeting - May 3rd. At that meeting the commission will review together
its contents.
New Business: No new business.
Next meeting will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.
