Lucia Kincheloe provided the commission members with a downtown

City Downtown Association to create sixteen banners to be spread over
two blocks from Jefferson to Monroe Streets. The cost of the banners
and brackets are estimated at $2184 with the Jefferson City Downtown
Association contributing $600 to the project. Ann Littlefield makes a
motion to promote the CAC through the use of downtown banners. Bill
Rodgers seconds the motion. The commission will ask Lucia to prepare
a plan with a design concept to be presented at the next meeting. Motion
passed until August 24, 2010.
Other suggestions for promotions were made. Keith Enloe will research
and provide the commission with estimated costs for billboards and a
stand alone banner. Ann Littlefield will research and provide the
commission with costs of creating and mailing postcards to Jefferson
City residents. Mary Ann Hall will also talk with the representative at the
University of Missouri’s print shop to inquire on costs of printing
postcards. Members are encouraged to prepare a sample postcard to
present to the commission at the next meeting.
3. Mini Grant Applications
During the CAC Workshop participants were asked to send mini-grant
applications to the City of Jefferson to the attention of Gail Strope. The
Commission will review applications at the next meeting and determine
