Annual Strategic Planning Meeting
MINUTES May 15, 2012
Call to Order: 4:35 p.m.
Roll Call: Don Govang, Bruce Dawson, Lucia Kincheloe, Dawnel
Davidson, Laura Morris, Cindy Layton, Gail Strope.
Not Present: Raylene Walker, Taryn Prewitt
Approval of Agenda: Bruce made motion to approve, Cindy seconded.
All in favor.
Approval of April 17, 2012 Minutes: Dawnel made motion to
approve, Laura seconded. All in favor.
New Commissioner Discussion: Anne Littlefield’s position still needs
to be filled.
New Business: Mini-grant request received from MO Arts Council for
Celebrate Exhibit. Bruce made motion to approve for $475 for printing,
poster and marketing, Dawnel seconded. All in favor.
To match NEA Grant - $7,000 from CAC Funds, $2,000 fundraising funds
& $1,000 sponsor.
Foundation Update: None
Not For Profit Status Report: None
Sponsorship Policy: Dawnel made motion to approve, Bruce seconded.
Approved unanimously.
Committee Reports:
Public Art: Trailhead mist park. We are trying to get an NEA $10,000
grant.
Wine Tasting Event: Friday, September 7th, hope to get $4,000.
Fundraising:
1) Capital Region/CAC Event: “The Fantastiks” on September 28th,
29th & 30th and anticipate $4,400 profit each day. We may also
have a silent auction.
Marketing:
Website Update: None
Web-site Sponsor Policy: None
Art Group Mailing-Topics: None
Downtown Flags: None
Next meeting: The next regular Commission meeting will be June 19,
2012- 4:30 p.m. - City Hall
Adjournment: 5:27 p.m. – from lack of quorum.
