Meeting called to order at 4:35
Present: Cary Gampher, Carrie Carroll, Dawnel Davidson, Lucia Kincheloe, Don Govang, Gail Strope,
Bruce Dawson, Laura Morris, Kelly Schlosser, Cind y Layton,
All the above took wine event tickets except Cind y Layton
Motion made by Dawnel to approve Meeting minutes and 2nd by Don
Grants
Three grants were considered by the Commission:
Lucia made a motion to take each grant separately, 2nd by Don
HALO - Motion to approve HALO grant made by Cindy and 2nd by Kelly - all voted in favor except for
Laura who abstained.
Discover Jefferson City - Motion to approve grant made by Dawnel and 2nd by Laura - all voted in favor
Thursday Night Live - Motion to approve by Laura with provision that applicants need additional training
on matching the grant writing criteria meeting higher standard. Motion 2nd by Lucia. All voted for except
for Bruce who abstained.
Wine Event:
Event report given by Dawnel. We have four sponsors: Summit Winery, Cork, Prison Brews, HyVee.
Need help with set up at 3:00 on day of event. Event will run from 5:30-7:30.
Commission members took 10 tickets a piece to sell as noted above in the minutes.
RFQ : Bruce indicated that the RFQ is with City purchasing departm ent for final revisions and hopes to
get it out by next week .
NEA Federal Grant application: Lucia reported that the NEA grant application submitted to the Federal
government by the Commission will not be decided until December.
Motion made to adjourn by Bruce, 2nd by Laura. Meeting adjourned 5:05 PM.
