A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE GENERAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to contract with the County of Los
Angeles to provide miscellaneous services for the City on an as needed basis upon
request; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has utilized such services in the past and the
existing General Services Agreement with the County will end on June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the General Services Agreement is general in nature and provides
the County authority to provide such services upon request from the City; and
WHEREAS, the General Services Agreement does not preclude the City from
seeking other service providers nor obligate the City to use County services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the General Services Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and County of Los Angeles and authorizes the Mayor to execute
the Agreement approved as to form by the City Attorney.
Section 2. The term of the new General Services Agreement will commence on
July 1, 2022 and expire on June 30, 2027.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
