Chairman Agan called the meeting to order at 7:05PM
1. Read and Approve minutes from last meeting
Chairman Agan dispensed with reading the minutes.
Chairman Agan read a prepared statement:
"Last night we had an executive session with the Council and the Council asked me to
thank each one of you personally for the hard work that you have done on the Charter
Commission for the past year. However, after discussing the cost involved with reviewing
the Charter with the attorney, the Council instructed me to disband this meeting
immediately. So, at this time, I declare this Commission disbanded. "
All members of the Charter Commission reacted with shock and disbelief and were very
disappointed.
Since Chairman Agan officially disbanded the Commission, there was no need to
formally adjourn.
The members sadly left the building.
