Old Business: David Grellner gave an update on cemetery maintenance activities in Woodland/Old City and Longview Cemeteries. Items discussed were talking with the cemetery maintenance contractor about not getting too close to the cemetery gravestones to prevent damage, resetting of the McKay stone and other stones in the Lincoln University plot in Longview Cemetery, an update on number of burials in Longview Cemetery, and announcement of money budgeted for cemetery restoration. Discussion occurred between Board Members about providing stone for Carrie Crittenden. A spot would have to be determined where to put such a stone since there is no clear direction as to where Carrie is buried. New Business: David Grellner reported that no complaints have been received concerning the cemeteries. Michael Shellman asked about Halloween time and the cemeteries with vandalism. Don Beck reported it has not been much of an issue as it used to be. The Cemetery Board approved the use of the restoration funds to be used first on gravestones that were a safety hazard, followed by stones that have fallen over. Other topics and discussion: Next meeting date was set for March 20, 2014. Adjournment: With no further business a motion to adjourn was given by Michael Shellman and seconded by Steven Wells.
