Board of Electrical Examiners and Review

The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met at 5:00 p.m., June 9, 2010, in the Small Conference Room of
the John G. Christy Municipal Building.
The meeting was called to order by Bill Stockton. The minutes of the April 14, 2010 meeting were approved as
presented.
Applications for Master License reviewed:
Burke Schuster. Motion to approve by Dave Steinman and seconded by Ray Fink. Motion carried.
Jeremiah Martin. Motion to approve and seconded by Mark Lueckenhoff. Motion carried.
Review Application for Master Exam:
Jason Russell. Motion to approve by Dave Steinman and seconded by Ray Fink. Motion carried.
Review Application for Journeyman License:
Stephen Berry. Motion to approve by Ray Fink and seconded by Dave Steinman. Motion carried.
Review of Applications for Journeyman Exams:
Joel Vanderslice. Motion to approve by Mark Lueckenhoff and seconded by Dave Steinman. Motion carried.
Robert McDonald. Motion to approve by Ray Fink and seconded by Mark Lueckenhoff. Motion carried.
Old Business: Dave Steinman made a motion to change the Journeyman to Apprentice ratio of one to one, to
one Journeyman to two Apprentices. With no second the motion was dropped.
Bill presented a request by Councilman Eric Struemph to review the policy on Knob and Tube replacement when
an upgrade to a building is done. Dave Steinman made a motion to require all Knob and Tube to be replaced
when it has been altered or is in violation. Ray Fink seconded the motion and it carried on a voice vote. Staff will
get the proposed change to the Jefferson City Electrical Ordinance written up and presented to Council.
A tentative date of August 11, 2010 was set for the next meeting.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
