Board of Electrical Examiners and Review

The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met at 5:00 p.m., November 30, 2011, in the
Small Conference Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to
order by Bill Stockton.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the October 26, 2011 meeting were approved as presented.
Review Application for Journeyman Electrical Exam for Kenneth Slavens
Application for Journeyman exam for Kenny Slavens was reviewed and a motion to approve
was made by Ray Fink and seconded by Chris Bruemmer. The motion carried on a voice vote.
Review Application for Journeyman Electrical License for Johnny Rhodes
Application for Journeyman license for Johnny Rhodes was reviewed and a motion to approve
was made by Dave Steinman and seconded by Ray Fink. The motion passed on a voice vote.
Old Business
a. Review of Changes to the 2011 National Electrical Code and Recommendation for
Adoption. The adoption of the 2011 National Electrical Code was discussed and a
motion was made by Ray Fink to adopt the 2011 edition with the deletion of Article
210.12. Ray said that with the trouble associated with the use of Arc -fault breakers and
the increased cost of installation that the requirements for them was not justified. Dave
Steinman seconded the motion and it passed on a voice vote.
New Business
No new business.
Set Date for Next Scheduled Meeting
A tentative date of January 10, 2012 was set for the next meeting.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
