Present: Pam Barkhaus, Rob Didriksen, Kesha Nelson, Sister Camilla Verret, Joe
Winklemann, Kristin Hilty,
Staff: Lauren Hershey, Councilman Jim Penfold
Kesha called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.; a quorum was present.
Discussion on adding that the City of Jefferson has a 23% diversion rate into the
minutes from February as additional information.
Motion by Kesha to add in the information; second by Sister Camilla.
A motion was made to amend the minutes to say “February 24th”; second by Sister
Camilla.
Sister Camilla made a motion approve the minutes as amended; seconded by Kesha.
Lauren Hershey report that the Household Hazardous Waste facility had a successful
opening and that the glass recycling containers have been receiving less trash than
normal.
There was discussion about a grant that was written to Missouri American Water that
would help fund a Wears Creek Clean Up event.
The EQC discussed its annual report and Kesha requested that all corre ctions including
punctuation and grammar be given to her as soon as possible.
Discussed having city-wide recycling goals and putting “thrifty ideas” into the news
tribune to remind people to recycle.
Kesha made a motion to table the PACE program introduction until further notice;
second by Sister Camilla.
The meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
