1. Call to Order and Introduction of Members, Council Liaison and Staff
Five regular members were present and the meeting was called to order at 6:35p.m. A quorum
was present. Ms. Barkhaus chaired the meeting in Ms. Nelson’s absence.
2. Adoption of Agenda
Ms. Barkhaus asked for a motion to adopt the agenda. Sister Camilla moved and Ms. Davit
seconded to adopt the agenda as printed.
3. Approval of Minutes from the Regular Meeting of August 25, 2011
Mr. Stacey moved and Sister Camilla seconded to approve the minutes of the Regular meeting of
August 25, 2011 with amendments.
4. Recycling Update
Ms. Hershey gave an update about the recycling in Jefferson City and gave an update on
upcoming events. Ms. Davit indicated that she would like to a place on the City’s website where
people can sign up to receive emails about recycling or any other program that they may choose.
Ms. Davit feels that this would be an extremely beneficial channel of communication.
5. EQC Council Presentation
The commission held a discussion on the Council Presentation and discussed future committee
focus.
6. Other Business
Sister Camilla pointed out that there were a few commissions that were about to expire and Ms.
Hershey said she would check with Janice McMillian on re-appointments. Ms. Hershey will also
update the EQC Addresses.
7. Adjourn. There being no further business. Ms. Davit made a motion to adjourn and Sister
Camilla seconded. The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
