CALL TO ORDER
The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) met Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 6:30 PM in the Small
Conference Room, lower level of the John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 East McCarty Street,
Jefferson City, MO. The meeting was called to order by Cathy Bordner, Chairman.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioners reviewed minutes from the February 21, 2012 meeting. A motion was made and
seconded to approve the minutes. The motion carried.
CITY ISSUES
Ron Davenport reported on city issues. The city has received a nomination of the old Fire Station on
Miller St. for a Landmark Award. Commissioners agreed to give the Landmark Award to the Fire
Station.
COUNCIL ISSUES
Councilman Bray discussed council issues. The annexation of Meadows by the Club will be discussed
at the next council meeting.
DEMOLITION APPLICATIONS
The demolition application on 1212 Cottage Lane was discussed.
OLD BUSINESS
There was a report from Jenny Smith and Cathy Bordner on recommendations regarding the Capitol
Avenue Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District and Mid-Town Appearance Protection District.
We discussed next steps to take.
There was an update on the Moreau Dr. nomination to the National Register.

NEW BUSINESS
Commissioners discussed the date for the May Preservation Award Ceremony.
We discussed not presenting plaques for the Landmark Awards.
Commissioners discussed potential nominees for the Gregory Stockard Distinguished Service Award.
There was an update on the essay/art contest.
The next meeting will be April 10, 2012.
The meeting adjourned.
