Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the City of Jefferson Historic Preservation Commission pg 2
September 11, 2012
OLD BUSINESS
There was discussion regarding requiring interior photos with the demolition applications.
Chairman Bordner spoke with the City Attorney who did not feel that it would be a problem. Ron
Davenport recommended drafting a proposal, have it reviewed by the Legal Department, and
then back to the Commission to present it to the City Council by our Liaison.
There was discussion regarding what views would be of benefit: proposed exterior front and
back, each interior room including stairwells, and basement, if applicable.
Artie Langston was asked to draft the proposal that would be sent to the Legal Department. It
was also discussed to change the ordinance to “stop the clock” if additional information is
requested. It was suggested that the Commission invite the City Attorney to discuss these
issues.
NEW BUSINESS
Artie Langston provided photographs from Habitat for Humanity’s new and recent re-builds.
DATES TO REMEMBER
Dates to remember were the Grape Stomp, September 29, 2012, and the Walking Tour
