The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) met Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 6:40 p.m. in the
Small Conference Room, lower level of the John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 East
McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri. The meeting was called to order by Ed Meyers, Chair.
It was noted that the April 91h meeting did not have a quorum, so no business was conducted on
that date.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the March 26, 2013 Special Called Meeting were approved by acclamation.
COUNCIL ISSUES
There were none discussed.
MOREAU DRIVE NATIONAL REGISTER NOMINATION UPDATE BY CONSULTANT LYNN
JOSSE
Ms. Josse presented a .Moreau Drive National Register update. The next public meeting will be
announced at a later date. The next Advisory Committee meeting will be August 9, 2013.
SECTION 106 REVIEWS
a. 212 Hughes Street - this was for rehab only and was approved by Ed Meyers.
b. 408 Lafayette Street - this was tabled until the June meeting.
DEMOLITION APPLICATIONS
a. 310 W Elm Street —After discussion Artie Langston moved and Art Hernandez
seconded that this would be tabled to the June meeting because of historical
significance. Motion passed.

b. 406 and 408 Washington Street —After discussion Bill Case moved and Art Hemandez
seconded that these would also be tabled to the June meeting. Motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
a. Requiring Interior Photos with Demolition Applications on Buildings over 50 yrs. old —
After some discussion, it was proposed that the language and additions be drafted by
the Legal Department. This was tabled for the July meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Replacement for Carlos Graham for Lafayette Interchange Advisory Committee —No
one was appointed at this time.
b. MSP Discussion by Mark Schreiber - After Mr. Schreiber's presentation, Bill Case
moved and Artie Langston seconded to have an MSP tour for the Commission.
OTHER BUSINESS
a. CLG Forum — Nothing discussed at this time.
b. New HPC Commissioner— It was announced that Douglas Record was appointed to
replace Carlos Graham as a Commissioner, since Mr. Graham won a Council seat.
DATES TO REMEMBER
a. Next HPC meeting is scheduled for June 11, 2013.
b. The Landmark and Heritage Awards Ceremony is scheduled for May 23, 2013, 4:00 pm
in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
c. The 2013 Missouri Statewide Preservation Conference will be in Boonville, MO,
September 18 — 20.
