Demolition Applications

home was built circa 1910. The Commissioners reviewed the "Standards for
Review" document, a requirement of the demolition ordinance. Commission
agreed that the property appeared to be in poor condition. Bill Case moved that
the Historic Preservation Commission approve the application. Motion was
seconded by Brent Hemphill. Motion passed unanimously with Mark Schreiber
abstaining.
Old Business
a. MSP β follow up: Bill Case attended the Governor's announcement of the
partnership with the City to fund remediation and repairs of the old MSP site. Bill

Case suggested that the Commission write a thank you letter to the Mayor,
Governor and Senator Kehoe for making the repairs a reality.
b. Spanish American War Memorial: This was tabled from the October meeting.
Doug Record went over the previously submitted information. The National
Guard apparently wants to move the statue from its current site to a more visible
location. It was suggested that a letter be drafted to the National Guard
requesting that the HPC be part of their planning process and invite them to
attend one of our meetings.
