The Jefferson City Plumbing Board of Review and Examiners met Wednesday, May 26,
2010, 5:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room, John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320
E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by Jerry Rosslan to approve the minutes of the March 30, 2010
meeting. Rick Enke seconded. Motion passed.
Topics:
a. Submit letter to be sent out to non -licensed plumbing companies
advertising in Jefferson City. A rough draft was submitted to the Board
and after some changes, was approved. A letter will be mailed to non -
licensed plumbing contractors stating that all plumbing work performed in the
city (except for a few things) must be done by licensed plumbing contractors
and a letter will be mailed to licensed plumbing contractors asking for help in
patrolling the city.
b. Submit letter written for Public Service Announcement. This was
submitted. Councilman Griffith affirmed that a public service announcement
would be a good idea.
C. Submit extensive list of possible plumbing code violators. This was
submitted. The list will be kept for future mailings.
d. Submit new license holders and past exam applicants. Submitted.
e. Submit request for review and approval information on Schier grease
interceptor products. Submitted and approved.
f. Information submitted by Mr. Rooter Plumbing to obtain
Master/Contractor's License. The Plumbing Board suggested pay stubs or
some kind of proof be shown for approval of hours from Phil Cathey Plumbing
for the 12,000 hours.
g. Discuss the signing off of plumbing permits before other plumbing
companies take over unfinished jobs. This was discussed.

Old Business:
It was suggested that Michelle Gleba be asked if a yellow page ad could be taken out
informing of license requirements.
There was more discussion on requiring 2 x 6 studs for walls for a plumbing rough in.
New Business:
It was decided that a letter be sent to Doug Durst for doing unlicensed plumbing work
with no potential for future plumbing licensing and to George Pate for hiring an
unlicensed plumber.
Adjournment:
A motion to adjourn was made by Jerry Rosslan and seconded by Mike Engelbrecht.
Meeting was adjourned.
