The Jefferson City Plumbing Board of Review and Examiners met Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 5:00 p.m.
in the Small Conference Room, John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City,
Missouri.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by Rick Enke to approve the minutes of the February 23, 2011 meeting. Jerry
Raithel seconded. Motion passed.
Topics of Discussion:
a. Exam Applicants. These were submitted.
b. David Rowles Acceptance for Master License. David Rowles submitted his application.
c. Apprentice License Applicant. These were submitted.
d. Discuss Eliminating Cellular Core PVC Pipe from Code. After discussing, the Board voted
unanimously to eliminate Cellular Core PVC Pipe from the Code. Kevin Schulte will make
sure all plumbing contractors and the plumbing supply houses will know of this change to the
code. Ron Davenport will include this when updating the Plumbing Code.
Old Business:
A letter sent to the Plumbing Contractors on commercial water heaters was submitted to the Board to
view.
New Business:
a. The Cardinal Plumbing Company's violations and a summons to court were discussed.
b. Backflow preventers minimum and maximum installation heights were discussed. Will initiate
height regulations at the next meeting.
c. The 2009 IPC Code changes were submitted. After discussion the 2009 IPC Code was
accepted by the Board.
d. It was discussed that a plan needs to be devised as to advertise to the public the license
requirements and that they should use licensed plumbers only. This will be discussed more at
the next meeting.
Adjournment:
A motion to adjourn was made by Dave Wright and seconded by Mike Engelbrecht. Meeting was
adjourned.
