The Jefferson City Plumbing Board of Review and Examiners met Wednesday, February 15,
2012, 5:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room, John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 E.
McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by Jerry Raithel to approve the minutes of the October 25, 2011 meeting.
Mike Engelbrecht seconded. Motion passed.
Topics of Discussion:
a. Introduce New Board Member Gary Michel. Gary Michel was introduced to the Board
as a new member.
b. Submit Exam Applicants for Board to Accept or Deny. Jerry Hall's application was
tabled and not approved temporarily until Plumbing Board converses with the City of
Jefferson's Legal Department. Joseph Kuttenkuler was denied due to non-plumbing
hours. Raymond Tucker, Marc Mealy, and Robert Bardowski were approved to take the
Journeyman test.
c. Submit Exam Applicants who took Exam. These were submitted.
Old Business:
a. Re-discuss Backflow Preventer Installation Heights. Backflow preventer installation
heights shall be 1 ft. minimum and 5 ft. maximum above finished floor and readily
accessible.
b. Re-discuss License Requirements for Plumbing Work in Jefferson City. This will
be carried over to the next meeting.
New Business:
a. It was discussed and approved that all interceptor vents should always exit the roof by
itself, separate from sanitary venting.
b. It was decided that a letter be sent to Rick Enke thanking him for the time he served on
the Plumbing Board.
