a) Request to add stop sign at Buckingham Park and Leeds intersection. (Requestor. Citizen)
Mr. Britt Smith gave a brief overview and stated this intersection is located in a newer
neighborhood. A traffic study was conducted along with a history review of accidents
at this intersection. The traffic study did not meet warrants for a stop sign due to the
low volume of vehicles; Therefore, staff does not support the request. The requestor,
Chris Maiura, a resident of the area spoke and voiced his concerns with traffic. After a
group discussion among the members and staff took place, Sgt. Doug Ruediger will
check if an active neighborhood program is in place and will work directly with the
requestor to help with a neighborhood solution. A motion was made by Michael
Hughes to add a stop sign at Buckingham Park and Leeds intersection, seconded by
Rick Prather. All opposed, motion failed.
