a) Request to remove the parking on the west side of Williams Street between St. Mary's
Blvd. and the 90 degree turn
(Requester: Citizen received through various phone calls).
Britt Smith gave a brief staff report of the area, and stated this area has been visited
many times through thg Transportation and Traffic Commission. Again, neighborhood
was notified of the meeting along with business owners. Recent business expansion has
increased demands for parking in the area, and as a result the business owner
purchased property and constructed additional parking for employees; however, some
employees still continue to utilize the on -street parking of Williams Street. Staff
recommends the removal of parking on one -side of Williams Street.

Mary's. Mr. Brake was given the opportunity to speak and indicated, the traffic is
extremely crowded, and supports the removal of on -street parking.
After a brief discussion between the staff and commission members, Mr. Fitzwater
motioned to remove parking on the west side of Williams Street from the end of the
curve to St. Mary's Blvd and to remove parking on the east and north side Williams
Street in the curve, and was seconded by Mr. Louraine.

serves the City's Maintenance, Animal Shelter, and Fire Training. There is ample
off- street parking available for this use. The City is the only property owner affected by
the removal of parking. Staff recommends the removal of parking on both sides of Hyde
Park in the area shown.
A brief discussion took place between staff and the commission members. A motion was

property, and seconded by Mrs. Deetz. All in favor, motion carried.
