A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE APPROPRATION FROM ARPA FUND (FUND 1055)
IN THE AMOUNT OF $337,000 FOR THE REPAIRS AT FIRE STATION
147 AND FIRE STATION 148
WHEREAS, the City entered into an Agreement of Service by and between the
Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County and the City of Lynwood
in 2000; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the agreement any non-routine repairs (e.g., foundation
cracking, security issues, and significant ceiling issues) are considered major repairs
and are the responsibility of the City; and
WHEREAS, a site visit between the Consolidated Fire Protection District of Los
Angeles County and the City of Lynwood was conducted on July 27, 2021; and
WHEREAS, during this inspection several major repairs were identified at City
Fire Stations 147 and 148; and
WHEREAS, these issues should be undertaken by the City within twelve (12)
months upon the Consolidated Fire Protection District notification; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2021 the District formally requested the City
evaluate and undertake repairs and seek compensation from the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings
and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the following appropriation for the
repairs at Fire Station 147 and Fire Station 148.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
