A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACCEPTING THE CITY OF LYNWOOD SPEED HUMP INSTALLATION
POLICY GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, safe and comfortable streets are a priority for the City of Lynwood;
and
WHEREAS, speed humps are an effective traffic calming measure on certain
residential streets; and
WHEREAS, residents regularly report speeding and request speed hump
installations along their blocks.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council adopts the Speed Hump Installation Policy
Guidelines and Procedures attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council directs staff to include speed humps as
traffic calming measures and use the Speed Hump Installation Policy Guidelines and
Procedures to install speed humps when requested in accordance with the provisions
contained therein.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
