HomeMy Public PortalAbout068-1987-STRICKEN- ZONING - 2505 CHESTER BOULEVARDGENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 68-1987 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2505 CHESTER BOULEVARD FROM C-2 COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO C-2 SU COMMERCIAL SPECIAL USE DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE SPECIAL USE OF SAID PROPERTY AS A SERVICE STATION. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates and describes as C-2 Commercial District the property located at 2505 Chester Boulevard; and, WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classification of said property from C-2 Commercial District to C-2 SU Commercial Special Use District, and to authorize the Special Use of said property as a service Station; and, WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan Commission the day of , 1987, at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was to in favor of/in opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 68-1987. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows: SECTION 1. That the zoning classification of the property described below, and the same is hereby changed to C-2 SU Commercial Special Use District, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana and all amendments thereto. A part of the northwest quarter of section twenty-one (21), township fourteen (14) north, range one (1) west situate in the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, and more particularly described as follows to wit: Commencing at a point in the west line of the northwest quarter of section twenty-one (21), township fourteen (14) north, range one (1) west which point is 1,079.67 feet north zero degrees forty-eight (48) minutes east of the southwest corner of said northwest quarter; thence proceeding north zero degrees forty-eight minutes east one hundred eighty feet along the west line of said quarter section to a point; and thence south eighty-nine (89) degrees twelve minutes east three.hundred twenty feet to a point; thence south zero degrees forty-eight minutes west parallel to the west line of said quarter section, one hundred eighty feet to a point; thence north eighty-nine degrees twelve minutes west three hundred twenty feet to the place of beginning containing an area of 1.322 acres, more or less. The Plan Commission unanimously voted to dismiss the Special Use petition and recommend to Common Council that Ordinance No. 68-1987 be stricken.
