AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 53-1985 (1986 SALARY ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY
OF RICHMOND, INDIANA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1986 AND ENDING
DECEMBER 31 , 1986
WHEREAS, the position of secretary for the Fire Department was set in Ordinance
No. 53-1985 as a half time position; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council approved a salary in the amount of $5,500.00 for a
half time secretary for the Fire Department in Ordinance No. 53-1985;
and,
WHEREAS, the need now exists to fund a full time secretarial position in the
Fire Department and extend the duties to secretary/office manager;and
WHEREAS, there are existing moneys within the Fire Department sufficient to
cover a full time secretarial/office manager position;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana;
SECTION 1. That for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1986 and ending
December 31, 1986 that the appointed offices and employees of
the City of Richmond, Indiana shall receive the following
salaries for their positions:
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Secretary/office manager $12,000.00
