APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
JOSEPH SPAGNOLI, ESQ.
WHEREAS, there exists a need for professional legal services to defend Pti.
Wayne Hundemann of the Carteret Police Department on complaints S2002-
000335 and S2002-000336; and
WHEREAS, funds are or will be available for said purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law requires that the resolution
authorizing the award of a contract for professional services without competitive
bids and the contract itself must be available for public inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That Joseph Spagnoli, Esq. is hereby appointed to defend Pti.
Wayne Hundemann on the above referenced complaints at a rate of
$125.00 per hour at a maximum cost not to exceed $2,000.00.
2. That said appointment is made without competitive biding as a
professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-2(6).
3. That a notice of this award shall be advertised as may be
required by law.
4. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Joseph Spagnoli,
Esq., 190 North Avenue East, Cranford, NJ 07016, and to Ptl.
Wayne Hundemann and the Carteret PBA.
