HomeMy Public PortalAbout024-1986 - ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE CUMMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 24-1986 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE CUMMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND.-89562 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 72-1984 created a Cumulative Capital Development Fund pursuant to Public Law 44-1984; and WHEREAS, I.C. 36-8-14 allows the purchase, construction renovation or addition to buildings used by the fire department and for the purchase or rental with option to purchase fire fighting equipment and the purchase of police radio equipment; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purposes specified. Said sum being subject to the laws governing the same. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED CUMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND $43,000.00 $43,000.00 These funds are to be appropriated for the following: 3000-Other Services & Charges AMOUNT APPROPRIATED $43,000.00 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Councilperson Bodiker presided with the followingg members present: Councilpersons Elstro Williams Brookbank Hankinson Whitesell ar er —A-uEt—on orris Absent: none The following business was had, to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the date of April 11, 1986 Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 21st day of April , 1986 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. 24-1986 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilperson Morris moved the proof of publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilperson Hankinson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 24-1986 President Bodiker announced Ordinance No. 24-1986 was on public hearing.
