RESOLUTION NO. 2021-02
A Resolution on a Street Name Change
WHEREAS the City has been advised of the possible confusion of having one street, that
is comprised of two dead-end roads,within the City named "Ball Circle";
WHEREAS this confusion may cause a hazard to the health and safety of City residents
since it may require additional time for emergency services to locate the correct address;
WHEREAS "Winder Avenue" divides Ball Circle into two sides (one east of Winder
Avenue and the other west of Winder Avenue); and
WHEREAS the City has the ability to rename all or a portion of Ball Circle, pursuant to
Idaho law, which is also desirable to rename part of Ball Circle to avoid the above-described
confusion.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO:
1. That portion of what is currently "Ball Circle" lying within the City of Iona and
West of Winder Avenue shall be renamed "Ball Court".
2. That portion of Ball Circle lying within the City of Iona and East of Winder Avenue
shall continue to be named Ball Circle.
3. This resolution, including the fees and collection authorization described herein shall
become effective upon its passage, execution, and publication in the manner provided
by law
