A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING THE FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
(4011.68.069) TO INCLUDE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE SEWER LINE
REPAIR AT THE PUBLIC WORKS YARD
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2022 the City Council adopted the Five-Year
Plan (Resolution No. 2021.143) which included the Facilities Improvements Project (CIP
No. 4011.68.069); and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Yard located at 11750 S. Alameda Street,
Lynwood has had issues with the direct flow of the sewer outflow; and
WHEREAS, National Plant was hired to CCTV the lines within the facility; and
WHEREAS, it was found that there were two connection points that have collapsed
and another connection point that needs correction; and
WHEREAS, funds are available under the Facilities Improvements Project (CIP
No. 4011.68.069);
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council amend the scope of work for
the Facilities Improvements Project to include repairs to the sewer system at the Public
Works Yard.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that
the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and
as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council approves to amend the scope of work for the
Facilities Improvements Project (CIP No. 4011.68.069) to include the Public Works Yard.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
