A RESOLUTION OF DEDICATION 'OF THE WILLIAM F.
KOCH, JR. COMMISSION CHAMBERS FROM THE TOWN
COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM.
WHEREAS, William F. Koch, Jr. has served as Mayor for the Town
of Gulf Stream, Florida, for 40 years, from 1966 to present; the longest
mayoral tenure in Palm Beach County and possibly the State of Florida;
and
WHEREAS, he has provided faithful, sagacious, fair and
knowledgeable service during these past 40 years; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Koch's financial concern, trustworthiness,
pragmatism, and straight forward approach to everything is valued by his
esteemed fellow Commissioners and staff; and
WHEREAS, he has also been a pillar at many institutions of Palm
Beach County; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Koch is receptive and practical in his
methodology to community requests and concerns; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Koch presides over Commission meetings with a
vigilant and cautious eye; and
WHEREAS, he and his family have been an asset to the Town for
over fifty years; and
WHEREAS, his immeasurable generosity to the Town will forever
benefit the community; and
WHEREAS, the splendor of the Town and its financial security are
the direct results of his leadership.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION
OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as
follows:
THAT THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS IN THE GULF STREAM
TOWN HALL SHALL HEREAFTER BE KNOWN AS THE WILLIAM F.
KOCH, JR. COMMISSION CHAMBERS.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 8th day of December 2006.
