1. CALL TO ORDER
Board President Lopez Called to Order – Time 6:35 p.m.
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS
This is the public’s opportunity to address the Richland Hills Development Corporation
about non-agenda items. In compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Development
Corporation members and city staff are prevented from discussing non-agenda items and
may only respond with statements of factual information or existing city policy.
Stacy Reddy, 7012 Hardisty Street spoke regarding funding for the Neighborhood Watch
Program, Crime Prevention and raises for Police and Fire.
Athena Campbell, 2802 Elm Park spoke regarding the National Neighborhood Watch
Association being ran by the residents and not being a Police Department initiative.
REGULAR AGENDA
3. Approve minutes from the August 31, 2020 Crime Control and Prevention
District meeting
Motion: Motion was made by Director Bergthold and seconded by Director Morse to
approve the minutes from the August 31, 2020 Crime Control and
Presentation District meeting.
Motion carried by a vote of 6-0.
4. Discuss the proposed FY 2022 Crime Control and Prevention District Budget
Candice Edmondson, City Manager gave a presentation on the proposed FY 2022 Crime
Control and Prevention District Budget.
Kim Sylvester, Police Chief answered questions regarding the National Neighborhood
Watch Program, staffing, training and possible commitment requirements for new officers.
5. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Director Estep and seconded by Director Bergthold to adjourn.
Motion passed 6-0.
There being no further business to come before the Board, President Lopez declared the
meeting adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
