Wayne Neddermeyer - Mayor in Chair Priscilla Arens - Clerk All members present The minutes of the February 5, 1968 meeting read. Moved by Rayburn Anderson that the minutes be approved as. read. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of February 20th read. Moved by Arthur Theis that the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of February 22nd read. Moved by Harold Winterhalter that the minutes be approved as corrected by inserting a comma betVeen the words "7airents" and "and% Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Motion carried. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of February 19, 1968 read. Mr. Leuer and Mr. Phillips appeared with regard to rezoning the Matt Leuer property. Moved by Harold Winterhalter that the Matt Leuer property referred to and as recommended by the Planning Commission in their minutes of February 19th be rezoned from C2 to M1, subject to the approval of our attorney. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Opened bids for grading. Three bids received - Glen Litfin of Delano - three graders as follows: $9.00, $9.00 and $8.50., David J. Walker of 2963 Brace Ave.,North St. Paul - $11.50 and Leo Leuer, Loretto - $9.25. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to award Leo Leuer the road grading bid for the year at $$9.25 an hour. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Cigarette license applications for 1968 were submitted for C. W. Yates of Yates Mobil Service and for Gregory Dubay of Medina Mileage. Moved by Rarold Winterhalter that we grant cigarette license to Yates Mobil Service and Medina Mileage. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. A petition was submitted signed by ten property holders asking to be deleted from the sewer district. Also a petition of a number of property holders was submitted asking for construction of water mains, including well, tank and pipe. A letter from Medina Recreations, Inc. was received asking that municipal water facilities be consolidated with the sewer project. Also., a letter was received from the Northwest Suburban Chamber of Commerce asking that the Village establish a definite district for sewer and/or sewer and water. Mr. Mills again explained about the size of the sewer and Mr. Gubrud set forth ways in which the assessments can be set up. 82 Moved by Harold Winterhalter to have a meeting Friday, March 8th at 7:00 P. M. for the purpose of discussing the petition presented by Julius Dorweiler, the petition presented by David Gates and for the purpose of establishing a sanitary sewer district. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Harold Winterhalter reported he had attended the meeting of the Home Owners Association at Hamel on Sunday. The notice of the public hearing with regard to signals at the Soo Line Crossing on Depot Hill was read, said hearing to be held at the Village Hall on Thursday, March 21, 1968 at 9:30 o'clock in the forenoon. Discussion with regard to appointing two new members to the Planning Commission. The Council members are to contact the following people to see if they will be willing to serve in case they should be appointed: Arnold Erdman, Ralp$ Morling, Anne Theis and Jim Brownlee. Moved b y Raymond Bosch to table action on the snowmobile ordinance until a later date. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Letter from Rev. A. Simon of King's House with regard to having bingo at Medina Recreations. Clerk to write letter to Rev. Simon setting forth the requirements tinder the law as set forth by Attorney Gubbins. Letter from W. Torodor of the Drive -In Theater stating that they will do all they can to bring acceptable pictures to the theater was read. A letter from the Farmers State Bank of Hamel was read stating that as of the first of January their rate of interest on the certificates of deposit will be 5%. Seasonal road restrictions brochure' was given to Rmil Jubert. Innounceme0 of Hennepin County League of Municipalities meeting to be held at 8:00 P. M. Thursday, March 7, 1968 at the Golden Valley Village Hall. Moved by Arthur Theis to pay the bills as follows:' Payroll in the amount of 81261.37 and order checks in the dmount of $5913.64. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried'. Moved by Harold Winterhalter that the meeting adjourn. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:45 P. M.
